Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC) is a professional designation awarded by the College for Financial Planning to candidates who successfully complete its study program and pass a final examination.

The designation is valid for two years. To maintain the designation, CRPC professionals must complete 16 hours of continuing education.

The study program includes training in making a comprehensive assessment of an individual's financial needs before or after retirement, including: all sources of retirement income, meeting multiple financial objectives, personal savings, income taxes, estate planning, cash flow, asset management and more. The CRPC program focuses on client-centered problem-solving in order to gain an in-depth knowledge of their clients' needs both before and after retirement. It is designed to help planners define and create a "road map for retirement" so their clients have an understandable plan and format for their future.

The Accredited Wealth Management AdvisorSM (AWMA®)

The Accredited Wealth Management AdvisorSM (AWMA®)

The Accredited Wealth Management Advisor SM (AWMA®) Professional Education Program teaches advisers about the intricacies and particulars of working with high-income clients. Candidates for the program already have extensive knowledge of the financial planning topics of insurance, investments, income tax, retirement planning, and estate planning. This course, however, helps advisers to guide those clients with "sudden money" such as inherited wealth, a lucrative sports contract, or the sale of a business. It also helps with the intricacies of working with entrepreneurs, business owners, and executives, all of whom have unique tax situations due to their high incomes. These clients are under enormous amounts of pressure to maximize earnings, maintain a lifestyle, build a legacy, and transition to a second career after retirement. Professional athletes, in particular are exposed to psychological, behavioral, and physical health issues that can have long-term ramifications. For these clients, qualitative and quantitative planning are of equal importance.
